My new favorite cichlid

I got him because Ive never kept cubans before so i got one. I have watched this lil guy grow about 1/2 inch since buying him and hes has grown attached to me already. He comes to the front of the tank when i walk in the room. I have considered buying another but dont know if i should get ahold of rapps to get another. Really like this fish and hes has climbed my cichlid list and now sits in second behind the festae which you can see a few in the pics..

he pushes all 5 RT around and hes the 2nd smallest fish in the tank. Will be moving the RT to the 45 if i get another cuban. Have seriously thought about selling my venny pike and red wolf to get them in the larger tank to help the small fish to grow quicker
 
Nice looking cuban they are great fish. If you get more get more than one. Conspecific aggression is high with these guys.
 
i really wouldnt get another cuban unless you are wanting a breeding pair, and if thats the case then they will need ALOT of space to themselves when they get bigger, cubans are awesome fish though and have lots of personality but as with most of the larger growing cichlids it is usually best to just keep one per tank if you dont want breeding
 
I debated getting a Cuban over a Jag but I ended up getting the fish that I had experience with, a Jag. Cubans are nice looking cichlids. I still may have to devote some space to one in the future. I hope yours grows to be a stunner. Hey, isn't your wedding soon?
