about 10" or so really heavy bodied,
This is the first FH I have owned and am unsure of sex Im thinking maybe female but dont know for sure, I got it couple of days ago and no aggresion thus far.

I am a newbie to FH's I thought it was a nice one but I noticed sometimes the red on the face fades kinda. Well it was faded when I got it home and then brightened up then faded again when I moved it to another tank. Is this normal ? none the rest of it fades that i have noticed just the red on the face. when it fades the head looks more like a bluish green with a red tint, after a couple of hours it back to red again.
 
nice coloration Fh.. but how do you guys know its a female.. has it been proven;)

about the fadin as you state.. its not fading, its basically stress... and needed time to adjust to its new surrounding.. well male or female.. as long as you like it thats all it matters..:)
