I came across someone who was moving this weekend that wanted to clean out thier stock of aquarium *stuff*

I picked up a oceanic 180 with a oak stand, and lid
Ultraviolet sterilizer
Wet/Dry Filter setup (DIY Partial)
Protein skimmer
1 Clown Fish
1 Koran Angel

55 Gallon Saltwater Setup with all filters an heaters, 4 100 watt bulbs

50 Gallon 1/4" thick setup with some odd filters and misc fish equipment
10 Gallon

90 pounds of live rock
55 pounds of live sand

20 odd plastic plants
and a bucket of odds and ends PH test kits, Stress/ Amo Lock, Python setup, ect.

All this for under 500$

I have been cleaning my heart out and got one of the tanks setup. I was able to save about 30 gallons of water from his setup to keep the fish going, and hopefully it will go. The fish are doing well on hour 3 and the water parameters are reading great.

I hope to have the 180 setup sometime in the next month, but that will be some planning and work on getting it all going again. In the mean time i have the 55 setup with all the rock in it to keep it a live with three aquaclear 70's.

I was doing freshwater again and didnt plan on going with salt/marine until I got the fresh going well, but this deal was too good to pass up..

Thoughts?

All that for under $500? Wow that is an amzing deal! Can't wait to see pics!

Oh and you deffinatly need to convert that 180 gallon to fresh. Or atleast one of those tanks.

i wish they had those kind of deal here. you rarley see 180 with tank and stand for under 600
Just have to be patient, and keep your eyes open.

If you are in south dakota there is a guy near you that makes tanks out of starphire glass that you could get a 180 with black back starphire 3 sides for $600 brand new.

Indiana: The home of good deals:)

Never say never, they come around every great once in a while.

I originally called the guy to pick up one 55 gallon tank. He said he was tired of it all and to take everything for one price. I immediately went to the local uhaul and rented a truck, took up my truck and loaded them full of stuff.

So now my garage is full of fish stuff. Thankfully i have a full basement to slowly move it all into.
