i got some new fish! i'm pretty excited. but i had to leave them alone at home.

i'm wondering how many are goin to be dead. and how many guppies i'm going to have left.

also i posted the pics in Gen Discussion thread. but you can see more in my
<===gallery

i think these guys are pretty violent. they lived in a pond and were not fed any food. they were forced to live off any food in the pond such as guppies.

so even the babies are pretty violent. they attact baby guppies. its kinda crazy.

i hope to make a video of it soon.

any one have any idea of what time of cichlids they are?

I asked a lady working there and she said they are supposed to be electric blue. but its probly a hybred.

I never heard of electric blue.

Not sure but a couple look to be female Kenyi--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- bottom photo is a electric blue johhani

its kinda sad that the wild life dept. at the hotel where i got these guys from didn't know.

I'm thinking of trying to breed my angle fish and put some in their pond. if it is ok with them that is. hehe. i'd like to see angle fish in a pond. never seen it before.

i def agree with the kenyis, but i think i see a couple cobalt blues in there too. But they probably are hybrids. Cheap fish with colors and if used in a pond i doubt they were doing for high quality. But they are africans and they are just plain ol mean. thats why i love mine. my fry beat the hell and ate some bluegill fry last night. My bigger africans are real weiners though, they wont eat live food very often, not that im offended.

i think they were trying to get a harty fish with color. and one that could be self sustaining to the population of herring and other bigger fish.

the guppies feed the cichlids. the cichlids feed the carp and the herring. maybe even the ducks.

over all the hotel is pretty cool. i just wish they knew the types of fish.

i just found eggs in my angel's tank. i hope these hatch. i'll throw some fry into the pond too lol. i never seen a pond with angels before.
