My new flowerhorn, "Reggie", arrived yesterday from Indiana. He was shipped next day, but UPS diverted him to VA Beach (mis-routed) and he arrived after 2 days. Thankfully, alive and reasonably well (stressed / tired). I already LOVE him. Here are some shots, just in the tank about an hour but looking good. He's already showing us he'll be a real character to have around

And a shot from my Blackberry this afternoon (one full day here):

Thanks for looking at our new guy!

I will guys! He hasn't eaten yet, but the seller said not to expect him to and not to offer food until tonight, and then to make it frozen bloodworms (we got Hikari brand). So, that's the plan.

Right now, he's about as long as my hand counting my fingers. His kok was bigger at his sellers (who is also his breeder), but I do not actually like how they look when that gets so huge.

After he decides to start eating, we have Hikari Cichlid Bio-Gold pellets, OSI Flowerhorn pellets, Chingmix (two types) Flowerhorn Pellets, and these frozen bloodworms.

If you told me a year ago, I'd be emotionally attached to a fish or that I'd be keeping frozen bloodworms in my freezer, I don't think I'd have thought that could happen!

he may not not eat for a week but that is normal , don't freak he'll come around between 1st and 2nd week , try here and there with the spoiler foods then to the more norm. try mealworms ( small) , pull off the heads , walala cant get enough! ( all fish need a week to get used to the water , or anything else ,its always one week between any major change in there enviroment ) unless your better than me ha ha ha I only aspire
