Hey guys,

Well I recently got rid of my oscar and one of my Green Terrors and bought a amazing looking flowerhorn. The one I picked had the best colors in a tank of about 30. I brought it home and put it in my tank with my parrot, green terror and a unknown ciclid of similar size. Anyways, the flowerhorn lost it's colors which I am sure is because it is stressed and is not longer the dominant male. The thing has been getting the bag beaten out of since I put it in yesterday. It has a cut on its head and right above it's lip. It eats but only when the food gets to the corner of the tank that it is hiding in. My question is, I thought Flowerhorns were a fish that can hold their own. Will he come around or should I remove it in fear that it will get killed?
I will post pics later. Thanks guys

i would divide the tank so he gets used to his new surroundings and tank mates.

Should I try and move around stuff in the tank when I vacuum it or can I do anything to break up the territories so that they have to be re established in hopes that he can make a claim of his own?

Divide the tank as mentioned above.

I Agree with lizardfishman, and how big is the tank that he is in currently?? and how big are the other fishes compare to the FH?? if you have a big enough tank then he would have space to run and hide, instead of getting chewed on.

They are in a 75 for now. They are all between 3"-4". I have some Giant Danios as dithers which seems to be helping a bit.
