Just went to my lfs they had a flowerhorn i just could not resist buying.price 50$, I put him in with my red devil in a 90gal.Please take a look in the gallery and tell me what you think ie price,color ,will he get along with the red,any input would be apprieciated.

You could try putting a devider for a little while untill the other fish settle down. My oscar is a bit aggressive towards new fish but he settles down after a few days.
I've actually found that putting several aggressive fish in a large tank disburses the aggression considerably. ARL cichlid keepers have been doing this for some time.
Of course, it helps if all the fish have similar aggression levels. Dovii and Uaru wouldn't work.

i could never get rid of my red devil he 's beautiful.but i solved the problem by putting the flowerhorn in with my giant gourmi,he's big enough now and has lost most of his aggresive nature.still let's tank mates know who is boss.but only by swimming by.his size is very intimadating.Opiate;1696494; said:
