my new flowerhorn.

just finished cycleing a 30 gallon and i bout a 2 inch flowerorn to go in it. i got some questions on him.
1. whats the growth rate
2. what are some good tank mates for him.(he wont be in thw 30g for life obviously so when suggesting tank mates keap in mind i have room for growth.)
3. what exactly is a flowerhorn?lol is it a chichlid?

well i think they grow fast at least mine is.for tank mate i would say other large fish if u have a large tank if not no tank mates . a flowerhorn is just a mix of cichlids.

1) they can put on upto 1" per month as they get growing so a 30g wont last as long as you think it will
2) Flowerhorns are some of the most aggressive fish around so tank mates depend on the fish. To be save I would get a pleco and another fish that would not square off with the flowerhorn.
3) A variety of CA/SA cichlids and lots of line breeding depending on the strain would determine the fish used to create.

well for now hes a small lil guy so could i put a small green terror or maybe a small pike in there with him?

I wouldn't put anything in a 30gal with a FH unless you wanna see a WWIII. Just my 2cents
