when I was a kid I would usually play with them for a while and then let them go

I catch flies and pull off their wings and try to get the mantis to eat it

I loved bugs when I was little especially Mantis then i loved keeping social insects like ants i would collect whole nests with queens but generally this time of year all mantis should be about 3 inches but he's only one inch

I used to come across their egg cases in my yard all the time but I haven't seen any this year.

A little guy. I used to pay with them when I was a kid too but am too scared to touch them now lol I would love to keep one as a pet though but I never see them.
