My new gar, but which is it?

Just picked up my new gar today, sweet fish. But only around 4 inch, better get him to eat so he can grow.
The importer said its Alligator, want to be sure so i just want to check with you guys.
Real gars is a bit rare to own in Denmark, so im very happy that i could get this one.
Hes now in a small 14,5 gal aquarium until he can be moved to my 90 gal.
Afraid to put him in the 90 gal, he might just end up as someones elses dinner.
I only have huge pics of him, so you have to live with the video.

Yes its quite pretty.
If it doesnt look lige a gator, then what does it look like to you?

A lot of pet stores around me do the same thing. Most of the gars labeled "Alligator Gar" are usually Florida/Spotteds. I guess "gator" is enticing to the buyer. Go figure.

Sounds super, i really wish its a spotted or florida. They are even harder to get in denmark and also my favorites.
Strange thou, i asked the dealer specificly for the latin name of the gar, and he called the importer too ask. Took me 4 days to get an answer.
Only bought a gator (witch turns up as something else), because i really wanted to tryout with a real gar.
So, if you are right, you are making my day a very very good:nilly:!
My Mosaic is looking forward to some company.
