My New Geo Looks Like it has Cancer

I purchased a Bras Geo from a Pet store..I had a lil cut above his right eye was hesitant to buy him but he had super colors on him so I said heck I can put him in my small Q Tank and cure him.. well thank god I did that because he became covered in welt that grow out and burst sort of..I took the picture and they dont look that good..I been treating him salt and high temp.. tell me if you know what this is...

yea.. its started like a welt, then it jus burst to an open wound..kinda gross but it still eats but stays near the heater though...

yeah he got burnt from heater. jsut like if u got burnt u get a blister!!

if it is a burn he will be scarred i hope its all it is. add some salt about a teaspoon per 5 gallons.

well I dont know..because I purchase him he was a bit sick. but thought it was just isolated to a bad cut above his right eye.. now that healed and now he's gettin this now!

What are the water parameters? If it keeps getting this, then I'd suspect bacterial infection. Stop adding salt and switch to Maracyn.

Try using Melafix, it is all natural and it has worked for me in several situations with fish that had open wounds similar to the one in the pic. You should be able to find it at any LFS. 5ml per 10 gallonsdaily for 7 days then do 25% WC, repeat if necessary.

hey guys thank for help I did start medication last night in a lil 7 gallon I had.. but I guess it was too late.. I just woke up and he was dead...well I learned for next time..
