My New Geo

Well fairly new. Had him about 2 weeks now. I love these fish they have such personality.

Hey Bogwood,

Do you keep a species tank of geos? Im wondering if they are aggresive towards eachother at all, I cant see them being so. They seem so peacful especially for a cichlid. All mine wants to do is suck on rocks and sand, LOL.

They are aggressive towards each other IME. I found if you add more the aggression dies down alot. I had 4 and had alot of aggression and added 5 more and aggression was close to none.

Identical to my 6" one (s. leucosticta). Mine is in with 6 g. surinamensis fry, 4 Discus & an Angelfish (in a 150 g). They reclassified them and I can hardly keep up. Mine didn't get along with anyone in any other tank until this one, either got picked on or did the bullying. It was a little ironic that the Discus/Geo fry tank is the one he's done so perfect in. Doesn't bother a soul and the Geo fry seem to think he's "Daddy".
