I had to share pics of my new GT's. I got rid of my last GT because I wanted to try my hand at some Texas Cichlids. I have been kicking myself after letting him go and I have been missing him ever since. I came across these little guy (approximately 1.5") and they are the cutest fish I think I have ever seen. I have never seen GT this small.

I just can't get over how nice they look they are solid little fish with good color and fearless. I put my face to the tank to get a closer look and the first day they were up at the front of the tank only a few inches from my face. To give a size idea the rock in the last pic is about the size of a nerf football.

I hope you all enjoy the pics as much as I do. I will update this as they grow.

1 questions at an 1.5" any one know for sure the age of these fish?

Very cool. I want a green terror.

Based on how slowly gt grow, I'd say these guys are about 4 years old.

Funny :D literally LOL on that.

SO true on the growth rate. I am excited I got them so small so in 10 years I can know I did everything I could to make these the finest looking adults I can.

Just moved my 5" GT to my 90 g. He was in a 40 g. He's living life now, and king of the tank. Beautiful looking cichlids!

yes they are I cant wait until mine grow out. one is beating on the other so I might have to rehome one already at 1.5" in a 75 you would think there is enough room. I am going to give it more time.

feel free to post pics of yours if you want I love seeing others GT's I know some people have some big ones on here.

Hi I have 2 green Terros they are fun fish I named them Tom and Jerry there are about a inch and a half and I need help telling what is the girl or boy

I know GT's grow slower than most cichlids, but its not that bad lol; my last on got to 5 inches in about 6-7 months, which isn't bad.

Nice juveniles there Rivers!

Ehh you should definitely get one lol

This is an old thread of mine. I sold these off.

@Raquie your GT's are to small to tell the gender. Give them about 4 months then it will be easier to tell.
