Hey,
I just brought a new GT juvenile and was after some opinions on the sex its only small just under 2 in.. It is the one on the right. The one on the left is my female at about 3 in..

Yeah only just got it today.. how long will it take to settle in and color up? It has the white edging the same as the female could this be because of the lack of color or is it def a silver saum

Judging from that picture alone, it looks like a female to me, but you should wait abit until the fish settles in properly and then ask again :)

looking at the tail it gives the sign of a male.
wait for the colors to come up and then. for some more comments.
Male from my side 90% sure.

Yeah from what I can see it has a slight hump on its head and the tail fin is alot different from what the females looked at this side. also there are no lines beside the black dot but this could all change in a matter of days.. Hopefully the color comes out soon..

seeing as the new GT has obviously settled, post more pics of it in its proper colours. it will allow for a more accurate sexing as well.

females have been known to pair up, lay eggs and do what the regular pairs do but i am unsure if one simulates the fertilisation process, obviously without the usual results.
