My new gt.

So I got this gt today and when I got home I saw the DEFECT so how would I fix this. It looks like gill curl but not sure.

I have also noticed that most lfs around me are starting to carry alot of defective fish.

Hard to say, with the picture clarity, but there are two possibilities, either its an injury, from a fight which healed that way, or an external parasite. Only recommendation, provide a clean, large tank, and a complete diet. It should get less visible, over time.
