Quick question, I havent seen him eat yet. I've got bloodworm, freezedried krill, and shrimp pellets.

at his size would it be better to ween him onto pellets or get him some minnow feeders?
what style food do they usually eat at this size. Thanks

pellets for sure....just offer up pellets everyday and eventually he'll eat them but you gotta be patient and dont give in to feeding anything else..once you got him on pellets for a month or so then you can offer up other things(except feeders/minnows)

you can also try tilapia cut up and once he is use to that you can move him over to pellets.

those are great ideas guys. problem is I have 8 columbian tetras as dithers and they eat anything that touches the water. the knife just isnt fast enough and doesnt even seem interested.

turn off all lights and make the room as dark as possible.i did feed mine rosy reds until it was 8" then changed it to tilapia then massivore.
