Here are some pics of my new FH, can anyone help identify him correctly?
Feel free to rate, I love him, the most active and fun fish I've had, and it's only been 2 days.
Here's a vid of him right after he stopped doing flips.

I've read that black bg and black substrate weren't good for FH's so this was as close to bright and kinda corny as I could get. Hopefully it's good enough. Any suggestions to help his growth and color would also be appreciated. So far he's been crazy about carnisticks and I have Kensfish food on the way. Are there any suggestions about what foods bring out the best in FH?

Thanks

Correct me if I'm wrong but dark substrates are used for faders, or thais, where as, light to natural colored substrates are used for your standard flowerhorn colors. And same for the backgrounds, blue vs black.

It's definitely a zz...I can't wait for that red beneath his pearling to really come out.

Yeh, I'm not too sure about the whole bg and substrate thing. I think I remember reading somewhere that you're not supposed to go with black so I went against every instinct in my body. All my other tanks have either DIY bg's or black bg's. Either way, he seems to be liking his new home. He does flips in the water and chases everything around. I put a ping pong ball in and he plays with it once in a while. My favorite fish for sure.

Thanks, I'm actually in the process of making a plexi glass divider so I can put something else in with him, maybe pick up some aggression, color, and kok size

My new DIY acrylic divider...

very purrtty divider. You should toss another filter on the other side because water flow is horrendous with dividers, unless you use eggcrate. I don't like eggcrate cause it looks ugly. Your water will become stagnant on the side without the filter and be dirty, especially with flowerhorns....

That's what I figured, just wanted to see first, I got an ac110 on that 40 gallon breeder, but overfiltration never hurts.
