I was sad to lose one of my two true parrots about a month ago. Although I had only had them for about a year they had become my favorites.

I had been looking around for quite awhile and found this guy. Hoping I got a pair but I guess only time will tell. He's much bluer than either of my others and was even colored up in the bag. He also has a much different body shape. He's very stout and seems more rounded. My other one is longer and skinnier. Hoping I got a male and have a female. He also has a much bigger appetite than either of my others. For the first minute in qt he crushed both floating and sinking pellets. I'm a little worried he'll be more aggressive because I saw him flaring at his reflection in the glass. I'll wait a couple more weeks and let him meet his new tank mates. Here's some pics.

He looks very nice. I had a couple large ones at one point and they actually were aggressive. Hope all goes well for you

Thanks! Yep. I've read they can be mean. My two were/are very docile but this guy seems different physically and mood wise. Could he have been from a different region?

Possibly or perhaps just a difference in the individual fish. I'd think aggression should be dispersed pretty well in your tank.

This species rocks they have really caught my eye lately. Hopefully you end up with some fry! Where did you find this guy?

Nice!
This is a fish that's been on my bucket list for awhile now.
