Well, I'm back from my summer job, unfortunatley I lost some of my pets... The cuban anoles where "accidently" fed to the sliders we had :irked: and my leopard frog was gluped up by what is now my pet Bull Frog. Some one put the two of them together without me knowing.:irked: And some of my native fish died while i was gone.:irked:

BUT NOT ALL IS LOST!!!

Here are the animals I got out of my summer job.

First is my lovely Yellow Rat Snake, he is roughly 4 feet in lenth. (I am pretty sure he is wild caught, considering he has bitten me three times now)

Second

My Mississippi Map Turtle.

Now his shell is discolored and I got him this way. I've heard things about shell fungi???? Shell rot... He is acting prefectly normal, eating crickets, salad, he is basking on his turtle dock. I do have him in the same tank as the Bull Frog and they have been doing good, not issues at all. They have been living in a tank together over the summer at summer camp. Help please. These are the pictures I have of him. By the way his is 3 1/2 inches in long and 3 inches wide. (Shell size)

I know this is not the correct way to handle the turtle, but I was trying to get all the discoloration in.

My NOM NOM Monster (Bull Frog, eater of Leopard frog...) He is from tips of toes to tip of nose 7 inches. This is not an exact measurment rather difficult to get a 100% accurate one. This guy is an eating machine he eats ANYTHING and REALLY like Cuban tree frogs. But I'm feeding him about three-five crickets every other day.

Again, please help me with my Map.

Thanks for you're time.

Awesome collection man, that BF is a beast hehe. Not sure about the discoloration being shell rot or not. I could be wrong, but it looks to me to be some sort of calcification. Again, I am not an expert though by any means.

Yeah I want to put some gold fish in with him. When i put in crickets he dives top notch into the cricket (and water), blinks and repeat. I might make a video when i get gold fish.

to me it just looks like his scales are about to shed.

EDIT: also, do you have a heat lamp and UVB bulbs for the turtle?

Yes it is not very powerful but I do indeed

Lol, well first off I can assure you i did not do either of thoughs things. Well, Cuban Brown Anoles are invasive here, and we had two sliders. When ever we caught one (And there were no campers around) we would feed them to the sliders. They really liked them. They "Mixed up" mine with the ones they caught. And my boss caught the bull frog and put him in the tank with my leopard frog.

Good filtration, I am actually working on improving it even more, since I have a spare filter. Okay not to sounds dumb but turtles shed??? I am very much un-aware of this. Yes I DO have a UV light, how would i describe it's level of "power"?

Okay, I raised the water level there by bringing the turtle dock (Basking area) closer to the UV bulb. 15 W(atts) possibly? That what I can find on it.
