hes 12inch long and has 1 gill curl but ill fix that, hes loverly and gettin along good with my other fish.

mine looked the same when I rescued him from a friend who didnt care for him. that gillcurl looks like it can be reversed by good water quality and a little massaging. I went the surgical way with mine it looked waaayyyy worse I cut off the curl area and it grew back in a about a month or so. hes fine now and eats like a pig. You may wanna watch that red tail it looks small enough for him to swallow you will be surprised on what those guys can take down
i think thats the only option for myn now, im gunna have to cut it and make it look nice and smart, but he eats fine and acts fine
Yeah, looks like you made a good trade and I'm sure it will be happier with you but be careful with your RTC it will make a nice Scooby Snack for your hybrid. Good luck
