thanks. yes it is a male. it is about 6-7" across the disc. it is not mature yet. i am looking for a female hystrix. i may get some marbles soon also. i'll be sure to update it as it settles in all the way.

i got home from work to find my new hystrix crusing the tank and blowing sand out hunting some possible leftover black worms feom my discus that were in there before. so i tossed in some crawlers and he wasted no time and inhaled them down! god i love having a quality ray that i dont have to worry about and fight with!

thanks, i am working on it. just thinking i may have to sell something to get the finds to get it. i sold some fish to get this guy. i am glad i did.

this ray is the is the official first true family fish. my daughter just saw it a few mins ago and she has already givin it a name. she has only ginin 3 fish a name and those were a long time to get. she saw it and said "hey! we got "mr. ray!"...hahahaha" so looks like his name is "mr. ray". lol
