My new Jack Dempsey

So this is my new Jack Dempsey. They are super cheap and hardy fish. I found mine ar a PetSmart for 4 bucks. Crazy cheap. How do i sex this thing? He shares his tank with an oscar but not for long, I’m looking for a good catfish. And maybe a peacock or hap cichlid. Here he is. i got a feeling that he will turn out amazing

Not a great pic but looks female from all the blue on the gill plate.
