I have shared a few pictures on other posts I have on here but thought I would just focus a post on my new guy that I ordered from Chon. I received it this past Wednesday and it has been settling in amazingly well. Here are a few pics of his progress just in the past 3 days.

Day 1: No Kok, Highly Stressed and Fins Clamped. Had a little more red than it does today but when I bought it I got it for the pearls not the red.

Day 2: Kok starting to come in. Pearls still showing nicely. Eating well!

Day 3: Settled in and seeming to be happy. Kok is really starting to pop now and pearls look great. This set of photos I turned on some lights above his tank and used my DSLR. Enjoy!

Could you elaborate a bit? Not sure how you can tell he is sterile just based off of images. Also what makes something a copy cat KK versus the real thing? I appreciate the info but as someone relatively new to the FH side of the hobby I want to learn and know more so I can improve. So if these are facts I would love to know more.

Real KKs metallic/pearls look like this..

and the one that shocked the U.S. FH world at its time to get it all started.. This one

So you are basing it off the color which changes depending on the light it is under? I think that's a unrealistic view point of the strain. Have you checked out the 9.9 KKs? I have seen several of them that have blue/white pearls. I really doubt they are producing fish that are not KK and selling them as such. Not saying those are not amazing fish but if that is your main reasoning I would have to say I disagree. KK's have several trait factors other than pearl color. The kok size, the body shape, the pearling over the kok, the lips and if they match up, pearls over the tail, etc.

Also you never elaborated on how you can tell if it is sterile. Discussing with several breeders and hobbyist who show regularly there is a good understanding that Kamfa males in general are less fertile than females or ZZ males but there is not really a way to tell until they hit maturity. Red eyes in Kamfa's usually show there is a higher chance for fertility but is not a for sure way to test while white and yellow eyes have a less chance of being fertile. I am just not seeing the logic in your answers, sounds more like a personal thought than something from an industry stance.

If yours is a KK then all kamfas with pearls are KKs too..

KK today for kamfas only mean Pearly Kamfa.

The name KK had been raped by smart sly sellers or/and breeders to sel fish make money.

Im starting to want to take advantage of it to make me some money out of this fish industry... yep. I have ways to scam ppl in this hobby EasiLy to make money you dont even now. Just I m a good guy that's why I havent... But I thin I should start caring for myself. Im going to start a scamming business in the future.. Seriously :). at he end of the day it's money flying around by guys with money to buy fish anyways.. They are no help to important things in society anyways.
