Where are all the PB experts out there? These guys are almost four inches. I picked them up for $30 each. Thought that was a pretty good deal. Not sure what kind they are.
Thanks for this. It looks like I have monoculus cichlea. The LFS also had a spotted gar and teacup ray for 29 and 129. I'd like to put all 5 in a 280g. Any thoughts?

Tbh this is a general section all we can tell you is that they are Pbass, if you want to speak to peopel who really know their stuff then the cichla section would be the best place to go. To me they all look the same and to be honest with you I don't like cichla but 30 dollars each isn't a bad price to pay. especially if they are something hard to come by

Being a noob like you, you should already know that the "general aquatics" is a place that people can post question that they don't know. Who knows if the op thinks it isn't a bass or not? If you can't help him out, then move the hell on guy.

ya it looks to be a mono but cant tell to small to really tell though. but ifu have a 280 and thats what u want to put them in, they will love that. do it so u dont have to worry about moving them. thats an good size tank too. but for cichla the bigger the better.
The first photos are from October 2012 when I got my first pbass - Orino hybrids I think (am I correct?). Here is one of them today at 14 inches. Somebody posted that these guys were slow growing. I feel like I'm living the fish out of water story! My new 240 comes on the 8th. Totally psyched.
