Hey all,
Just received this azul last night. I traded my two flowers for this awesome azul plus I got some cash. I was expecting him to be only 14"? But, I measured him a bunch of times when I was acclimating him. He is 17.5" , give or take, about to hit the 18" mark! Woah! What a tank! Biggest fish I've ever owned. I want to buy some juvi pbass But, i'm afraid the azul will eat them for dinner.
Any suggestion's on what to feed a monster like this? His previous owner viet dragon, was mainly feeding him massivore pellets. I tried to feed the azul, bloodworms and a nightcrawler. No success so far. I would think he would take anything I give him. I'm going to give him a few days to acclimate before I toss in a variety of food.

nice fish. I would recomend feeder fish and even comet goldfish also pbass would be a bad idea if ther under 12 inches
 
if he was being fed massivore before and you cant tempt with with anything and dont want to do live, I would say that you should try to get your hands on some massivore. After he is eating well then try to switch up his diet if youd like. but nice looking zullie. if u really wanna capture his blue turn the tank lights on and snap a pic without the flash
 
nice Azul...i'd say feed him as what his previous owner fed him first...then you can try switching his diet. let him stabilize in his new home and environment. can't wait for him to pop his true colors......congrats, it's anice rare catch. :popcorn:

Where are you going to put him in? And I would just continue to feed him massivores tbh.
 
Thank you fellas for the comments. I'm trying to buy some massivore now.
His very top dorsal fin is alittle splayed. His left pectoral fin is alittle messy. I did a wc today and adding salt.
