Hi, i am new to this site and i just bought this lovely 9" jaguar cichlid. he is in a 240litre tank. i have made a nice cave for him and he loves it. its very terirorial and everyone loves his appertite and personality. can you give me any tips on cleaning, feeding and any other advise for a jag because i am still new to big cichlids.

also, i do not know how much to feed him. he has such a big appetite i dont know when i am feeding him too muhc because he just never stopes eating them. i put 23 large shrimps and he eat them in 2 hours. i gave him a prawn yesturday and he suked it up and spat it out several times before eating it, i was putting a prawn into the tank, and he shot up and took it out of my hands. omg i was soo scared! please help with any information about how much to feed this fish and how oftern, thanks nikkie.

Ya your jag will get much bigger and will eventually need a larger tank your 240 liters is the equivalent of about a 65g tank. Also don't overfeed, need to keep the water clean.
