i got him on thursday he woulnt eat shrimp i was realy woried so i fed him a night crawler he played with it for a bit then slurped it down like a noodle it was awsome he seems very happy with the worms any advice for geting them to eat other things

Stick with crawlers for the next week or two getting it nice and fat first. This means feed as much as it will eat, not until you think your ray is full. After the initial week or 2, if feeding goes as planned, you can start starving and only offering the food your want your ray to eat. If your ray is actually healthy and fat, a few weeks without food should be no problem even for pups, but they usually break onto new foods within a couple days.

I'd feed what he's happy with for a couple weeks, then cut the crawlers and mix with shrimp. My most stubborn Motoro immediately took the worm-covered shrimp and was on plain shrimp within 3 or 4 days.

rays can be picky eaters. some take only worms, some will eat anything. all you can do is try.

Yep!

I'd say you could even start introducing shrimp, tilapia, etc in the beginning. Just make sure to keep feeding the worms along with it.

Mine converted from worms very easily this way. I just make sure to cut the frozen seafood up in very small pieces so its easy for the ray to work with. Having it mixed with the worms seems to get the taste of the worms on the seafood, and the ray recognizes the flavor, so it eats it.

I did the same thing when I got my rays on massivore.
