It is an MKE 94P. MKE is a licensed manufacturer of HK rifles in Turkey, and this is one of their MP5s as a pistol. So it's probably not fair to call it a clone, but rather a licensed copy. They come into the country in a goofy configuration, so there is some work that has to happen before they can be a rifle (or short barreled rifle). Originally imported as a pistol with a 16.25" barrel, I had the barrel cut and threaded, then a 3 lug added. I have to change some parts to US before the SBR conversion, but here's a pic of my firearm.

FYI, NFA items are not subject to 922r so no US parts are needed. VERY nice by the way.
There was a ruling letter sent out by BATFE discussing it, but the ATF said that 922(r) does apply to NFA weapons. I would like for that to be true, but I just haven't found that to be the case. So, I purchased a complete US made lower (5 parts) and handguard (1) to cover myself. No big deal, really, just playing it safe. That brings my parts count down to 10 foreign with a foreign stock, or 9 with a US made.

Edit to upload the ATF letter I'm talking about. Note the last paragraph.

Thats the first Ive heard of this, if so IVe handled ALOT of illegal NFA items then. Im no lawyer but I know alot of the guys SBRing the Dracos arent adding adding US parts.

I love how they say the GCA helps prevent crime, how does having US made parts vs foreign made parts help prevent crime? F the BATFE!
