my new nandus naNDUS

i got a new nandus here are some pics got any tips about these please let me know 
Nandus Mercatus is my quess, I've only ever seen 2 of the 5-6 Nandus species. Nandus nandus has similiar coloration but not as heavy on the dark brown also has a pionty longer snout with a larger lower lip. The only other one I've ever seen is nandus nebulosus " Mayalan leaf fish" definatley not that either- has more black camo than dark brown and a more whitish body color. I've read a few posts of people saying nandus nandus isn't getting more than 4" that's propably because it's not the gangantic leaf fish but the Sumarta like I think yours is. Gangantics get up to 8".
Once I get my Digi cam fixed I'll post some pics of my nandus nandus and you'll see the obvious facial differences.

I would post it in the Other Monster Fish section,the mods will move it if they see fit,no big deal. I do have one with my dats and after a about two months I think I have broken him and got him to eat some freeze dried krill.Otherone,what do you feed your nandus?ryeguy28;3449332; said:

Well mine does not move much,he's no chaser but prefers to sit in one spot and wait for something small enough to move by and he snaps it up. I wouldnt put it with more active predators or it may not get enough to eat.ryeguy28;3450556; said:

I agree Nandus aren't Characins. Mine lives with Characins tho - Rhaph, Red tail Cuda, Apollo Sharks - makes feeding easier - they all eat feeder Goldfish,Rosies,Gubbies,Crayfish,Comets, and the occasional cheap tetras.
Mine has a tough time because I stopped feeding my dats live food but it seems to be reluctantly joining the freeze dried krill program.How many Apollo Sharks do you have and how big are they?
