New Hampsha
So a couble years ago I was really into the hobby I had 7 tanks my main was a 240g c/sa cichlid tank and I had a nano reef and loved oddballs I got so much into it that I opened my own pet store new england aquatics I even became a vendor on here. But unfortunatly I went banlrupt very bad location I had a 325 saltwater as my centerpeice for my store plues
50 10 g 5 75 g 2 125 g 10 29 g and 10 55 g tanks pljus exotics reptiles birds and mammels including an 8 ft red.tail a hedghog and I had 90 bearded dragons which was what finally bankrupted me. Lol I also had a lab in the back that I converted into a breeding room. But it did not last after I had lost it I gave up all my fish but kept a 75 g a 15 g and a 10 g in storage a little over a month I got a new place and set up the 75 g and decided.to go with something new frontosas and I just got them last night I had never done much with african cichlids but I want to eventually breed.the fronts heres some pics I hope yall enjoy. Sorry for them being fuzzy ill work on that

Nice mixture of blue and black gravel

I am not sure if black and blue substrate is going to bring out the color in your Fronts. IMO a black background and light substrate (sand or crushed coral) looks best with Frontosa. High quality lights are also important. My favorite light for Africans in a 75 was a 48" double strip with a 50/50 and 20K bulb (both Coralife and t-12). I now use all t-5s on my bigger tanks.

I hpe you are patient. Fronts grow slow, but they worth it. It will be a while before they breed.

I know that they are slow growers but ive wanted fronts for a while now they are awesome fish ive done my fair share of reading up on them I took that orange african whatever it was out but I need some sort of dither in there that wont interrupt their possible breeding

I have always been a big fan of Fronts as well, but never bought any b/c I could not find at a decent price. In late Fall 2009, I got my colony of 11 from 3 different sources. They were 1.5"-2". In this 1.5 years, I am really happy with their growth rate. IMO if you give them plenty of room and stay up on the water changes, the growth rate isn't really that slow.
