MY NEW ORANGE PIKE CICHLIDS AND FRIENDS

Thats not an orange pike is what I am getting at. More precisely its not a sp. 'xingu I'. Its possible it might be the ones like what snookn brought in that look like sp. 'xingu II' though. Totally beautiful pikes, just not what you bought it as.
 
I GOT IT AS ORINACO ORANGE PIKE SORRY FOR SPELLING...U WOULDNT HAVE A PIC OF AN ADULT OF WHAT U SAY IT IS WOULD U...
 
Yeah, when you are buying an orange pike, generally you look for the color orange. ;) Unless they are subadult or adult, then the coloration will be different. Even at that size though it should still have some yellowish orange coloration.

What you've got looks like a sp. 'xingu II' honestly. I do have some pictures of them, I'll try to find you the link. I've still got three 'adults' in my tanks right now actually, they are gorgeous pikes for sure! :)
 
Here are some crappy pictures of when I first got them, then of them starting to color up. I haven't taken pictures of them in quite a while actually. All three have colored up superbly.

THANKS PEANUTPOWER...THATS WHAT I FIGED I THOUGHT IT WAS JUST STRESSED OUT IN THE TANK...BUT LIKE U SAID ITS STILL A GOOD LOOKIN PIKE...BUT I WISH I COULD FIND A PIC OF A FULL GROWN ADULT...ALSO COULD U SEX IT AT THIS SIZE ITS ABOUT 4-5 INCHS....
 
No idea on sex at that size, sorry. The top picture I posted thats pretty much what adults are going to look like. Well, the female anyway. The males will be a little less colorful. :)
