i saw an ornate in a market - under very bad keeping conditions. He was kept with two dozen of Malawi Cichlids (everyone was as long as the ornate) without any hiding places in a very small tank (even to small for the cichlids). One could see that the ornate had got no food for a long time ...
So i bought him ...
After two weeks i think he's just on the bright side of life! He's 3,5 inches long - but ornates ar popular for rapid growing.
