Just picked this guy up today. He's a little over 6 inches from nose to tip of the tail. He is currently in my 75 that I was going to put my Gold Saums into but they will have to wait until my 135 cycles and then this guy will go into that one.

Thanks! he's a curious little guy, whenever I walk up to the tank he comes out of hiding to check me out. thought he was hungry so I dropped 2 pellets in but he ignored them and just kept watching me.

Ya I really like the dark colors as well, I cant wait to get him into my 135. it shouldn't take long to cycle as we moved the sump without emptying it, any ideas on tankmates for this guy? I was originally gonna go with an African cichlid tank but I don't think that would mesh well with this guy.

No deff not they will get eat ornates have one of the more aggressive attitudes out of uj and lj bichirs .... A whole lot of ppl get rid of them when they hit a certain size because they tend to eat tank mates and also been known for killing fish bigger than it .... Not sure whst to tell u to put with it I only mess with and research a few fish ....
Gar
Oscar
Arowana
Bichir
Bowfin

I read that they are aggressive to their own kind but im guessing this is false info? Oscars don't really do it for me, I had a big albino when I was a kid. he was a cool fish but it just doesn't tickle my fancy anymore. any other cichlids? some larger SA?
