Hey guys, I just got 3 juvenile Oscar cichlids, I'm really excited and I have a few questions
The water in my tank has a really strong current... like, it's not slow-moving water at all, is this a problem? Will this affect these fish or they will do fine? I think I read somewhere that Oscar cichlids prefer slow moving waters.
- my water pH has always been between 7 and 7.5, do I need to lower it a little bit?
Any other tips for keeping these fish? I used to have Jack Dempseys so I know very little about Oscars, but so far I'm loving it... they're not shy like JDs at all, these come right at me when I get close to the tank lol
pic (this is only half of the aquarium so you can get an idea of their size, I know they grow really fast and they might need hundreds of gallons but that's not a problem since I'm planning on getting a 300 gal soon)
