My new ossa knife!

I scored an ossa knife at the Colorado Aquarium Society fall auction this past weekend, and he is friggin AWESOME! I have never had a knife fish before, I am super excited to learn more about them and to have this awesome fish in my tank. Just wanted to show him off, I'm super excited about it.

that is correct! he is super strange looking, definitely one of the most bizarre fish i have ever seen.
 
Late to the thread, but congrats on your new knife! Probably one of the best species of knifefish you can get- peaceful, doesn't seem to actively cannibalize small tankmates, very hardy, gets quite large, and looks quite unique. Good luck with yours! Definitely would like to see updates every now and then as well.

thank you very much! i'm very eager to experience this fish as it grows up - im quite fond of the oddballs and i am actually in the process of rehoming some heckelii in his tank to start a group of archer fish. i will for sure post updates!
