Do you need to worry about it breaking your glass, or is your tank acrylic?
 
just found it its a purple spotted mantis! even cooler...

it's a 15 gallon acyrlic so not too worried, he took a couple of wacks at my 2 gallon drip acclimator tank.. no damage..
 
nice... that should do well... feed live inverts, ghost shrimp, etc...
 
well mr. reef come to find out its a g. smithii (purple spotted mantis) which i think is even cooler. he is about 2-3 inches long and has destroyed a small emerld crab in a few quick hits..
 
actually i bought it two live emerld crabs. and they are both gone this morning.. as i look around the opening of his cave i see a couple of legs..
 
sweet!!! but we need a vid of him feeding
