my new pet, another crazy one hah

this is manny the mangrove monitor, yes i know horrible name, blame the misses for that one!

he will grow to be 4-5 feet and is getting his own 72" x 48" x 60" mangrove natural terrarium, one large ass terrarium if ya ask me! but he is worth it, very docile, only bit me once, but it was my fault, he was sleeping when i grabbed him.

i also keep a tityus serrulatus, parthogenic scorp from brazil, a red tail boa (bcc), and a blue variant costa rican tarantula (a. seemani) !

From what I understand although docile now most get mean later. Cool pet though for sure..

yea alot do, but same can be like a dog very tame, i handle him every day and let him run around my room from time to time, he is very happy so hoping to continue this pattern and let him know im not a threat, just a friend ! hahaha thanks though he is really cool, cept that one time he got out and ran across my face with those huge claws, i now have 4 locks in stead of 2 haha!

my friend who had a house converted to a petstore had one just roaming around. scared the p0op out of me the first time and then she made me pet him. very nice and just like a dog. i was AMAZED. she said as long as she kept the bathroom open with the bathtub full for him to chill in when ever he stays peaceful

i cant let this one roam around it will eat my girlfriends chinchilla lol, and my cats but oh well, he roams in my room alot when its locked.

he is right now about 25" eating pinkies ground turkey meat dusted crickets fish (feeders) and cat food heh.
