Went to the local fish store yesterday because Fridays are delivery day. I wanted to see if he brought in or imported any Myleus species because he is mainly the only one who specializes in unique oddball silverdollars. Sure as heck, I found 3 Red Hooks that are Wild Caught from Colombia and came in labeled as Red Cheek Myleus Redhook, they are so cute as babies! The next tank over there was a fish I was looking for. A wide bar myleus. With out even knowing the prices I had them bag up all 4 silver dollars and took them home! I was expecting $100 or more at check out but only $80 for the 4 silver dollars and 14 for some plants for them to hide in/school/swim around in. Fake plants of course.
Very happy score. It's moments like this that make the fish keeping hobby so fun!
NOTE: The large redhook is not new. The chocolate, severum, or synodontis are also not new.

UPDATE:
All silverdollars are doing great! Eating and loving Yourfishstuff.com brine shrimp and blackworm flakes. I hope this will bring out some intense coloration on the myleus redhooks and myleus wide bar black bars.

Nice acquisitions and what do you have,a trash bag on the back of your tank?

Thank you.
I use it as a cheap background and the black gives off some nice color to some of the fish.
Interesting,I have sprayed the backs of most of my tanks with plastidip.I find it to be better than regular paint or even spray paint as it would be easier to remove if I ever want to do so
