Well, based on the pics from your crappy camera, it looks like cichlasoma sp, Venezuela.

AGHHH!! I almost cringed when i saw that!! haha...they are in their own family...Crenicichla.... Definately not to be confused with cichlisoma...like the net still lists some of them. You got it right though aside from that...it is indeed a sp. 'venezuela'...a nice, fat plump one at that! Congrats man!!
