He is just an ordinary [SIZE=-1]Hypostomus punctatus / Liposarcus multiradiatus Common Pleco but I like him. I am starting to enjoy Plecos. When I first got into Aquaria I thought I would never want any. I guess you get different interests with fish the longer you are in it. Anyways thanks for looking!!!!

That appears to be a pretty big one. How big is he?

Is that all? The way you took your pictures it appears way bigger than that. Looks to be a healthy pleco. I also like the dark rock light sand contrast of your tank. Good idea!

Nice.. It does'nt look like the common ones...

I could be wrong. That is what I was told by the LFS. The guy I talked to there usually knows his stuff too. It would be cool if one of the Plec fans could say for sure.

Thanks for the comment!

I just measured him he is 10". I think the pics do make him look bigger.
Thanks for the props on the tank too.:D It is a work in progress and I am never satisfied with it but I think the contrast of dark rocks and light sand is my favorite variation so far. I think I am going to stick with it.

any idea on how many rays in his top dorsal fin? more than 10?

Pterygoplichthys L347?

Less than? Hypostomus sp. (L130)? Hypostomus sp. (L139)?

There are a lot of plecos that get sold under the "common" name...GL:popcorn: Great looking pleco btw!

nice looking pleco you got there..
