This is my new 24 incher male Chad Polypterus bichir bichir which I got from Primo Aquatics here in the Philippines.The first photo shows his massively built thick 4.2 inches long powerful head.My Pbb has been in my tank since December 29,2013.But this Pbb only entered our country from Chad last December 15,2013.This batch of Chad Pbbs have very thick and huge heads as well as thick and heavily built bodies compared to earlier batches of Pbb imports.They also have remarkably impressive appetites and their dark green and light and dark olive green markings contrasts well with their beige to very light brown base color.



The second photo shows my 24 incher Chad Pbb in solitary confinement in his 6feetlong,18 inches wide and 18 inches high customized tank.His tank has a painted red bottom glass panel.My Pbb's tank filtration is composed of 2 ceramic rings and activated carbon filled overhead filters and 4 pieces Ocean free BF4 biofoam prefilters.Flow rate is 1,000gal per hour total for my 2 pumps.

Thank you sir for viewing my Pbb thread.Yup he is indeed huge.In fact this Pbb is the largest bichir that I ever had an opportunity to own.My past monster bichirs include my 23 incher female Nigerian Polypterus endlicheri endlicheri,my favorite 23 incher male Polypterus bichir lapradei Guinea variant,my 21 incher female Polypterus ansorgii and my 20 incher male Chad Pbb which I sold last year to a good friend of mine.Happy fishkeeping sir.God bless you!:)
 
Nice poly you should get him a bigger tank with more width.
