Ok, here we go,

D. Pulcher = Cambodian tiger. (since they extinct in Thai)

D. Microlepis 3 bar = Sumatran tiger. (per map)*

D. Microlepis 4 bar = Borneo tiger. (per map)*

D. Microlepis Mixed bar = Indonesian tiger. (anything in between y bar x bar s bar uneven bar half bar)

D. Campelli = New Guinea tiger. (yup)

D. Quadrifasciatus = Southeast Asian tiger. (they are all over the map)

D. Undecimradiatus = Siamese tiger. (true Siamese per geographical location: more spread out in both north and south direction than widebar)

* Sumatra and Borneo are still part of Indonesia, hence technically still Indo tigers.

Map for reference:

My question is : are 3 bars only from sumatra? Nope I believe. I had many dats shipped from borneo and some of them have 3 bars also. I am living in Indonesia btw

Are Wide bar only from Thailand? Are NTT only from Northern Thailand? Are Silver Dat even from America? Shouldn't NGT be called Indo dat too?

I am just trying to making a better distinction for Indos based on their markings. The name of fill-in-the-blank country is only used as convenient purposes, within reasonable accuracy, and not to be absolute scientific or geographical or geopolitical purposes.

We can split hair if you really want to.......

NTTs come from the Mekong, so depending on which side of the river you are on the could be Laos tigers.
They come from the north east as well.

Be my guest.........

What im saying, differentiate microlepis by spl itting indo 3 bar as sumatra and 4 bars indo as borneo will be mislead. Because why? You also can find many 3 bars in microlepis from borneo.

Isnt quadrifasciatus actually classified as polota now? Not nit-picking,but if you want a decent ID chart, best to get the latins correct.

Nice catch. Here is your trophy.
