Well, I finally decided, and went with, a GSP in a 29 long tank with 2 fiddler crabs that I have had together for 2 weeks now. Its brackish between 1.014 and 1.016 and cycled. It's half sand, half gravel with a rock climb for the crabs. Limestone helps keep the pH higher, and the temp I keep at around 77.

So far everyone gets along, the crabs get the scraps and a sinking pellet or two. The puffer gets River shrimp, Bloodworms, and Krill shrimp, and once a week I drop in 10 snails for him to shred. I was lucky enough to find an LFS that kept them in brackish water so no slow adjustments were necessary for SG.

Marvin the Puffer really is a magnificant fish, and is a great addition to the living room. I recommend everyone who is able to, and ready to care for a Green Spotted Puffer to look into them!

I hope soon I will get pics up!

im surprised your crabs lasted more than a day. when i would put a crab or crayfish in my tank they will hunt that thing down for hours until they get it and tear it apart

Expect the crabs to become dinner eventually. I'd rather see the GSP alone in there & the tank full to the top, so the GSPs "pollution" is more diluted.

Pretty much what I bought them for, they're pretty until the puffer wants a snack when he's bigger, until then, they will receive good treatment. I only drained the tank down an inch so not much water lost, he's still swimmin happily

I'm sure they'll clean up whatever mess the puffer makes of it's food.
