Ive had a 65g planted tank with some cherry shrimp for a while but got bored and wanted to see some carnage every now and then so I added some RBs to it.
This is a pic of the Tank I dropped them into...

All they did was hide for a couple months in this set up and I would barely see them.
...sooo I rescaped.
Got rid of the plants, opened it up so the the bastards had no where to hide, and forced them to be more social
...added some moon sand, left some annubias petite, fissidens, and singapore moss for plants.
For filtration have 2 Aquaclear 70s...Mostly for chemical filtration. Keep 2 bags of Chemi pure, 1 bag of Seachem Purigen, Couple spounges and Substrat.
Also have an Eheim Ecco (one rated to 60g) full of subsrat. and a powerhead.
This is the tank now.

Loving them now...and everyday they seem to get less and less shy.
There are 5 of them in a 65 OMG
getting kinda tight so I might try to get rid of two but love watching them hunt as a group.
I feed like crazy but my Ammonia are at safe and nitrates are at the first level on the test kit still so seems fine to me...Also give water changes twice a week now. I doubt I have to but do it anyway...Kinda sucks because I would only do water changes once a year when I just had it planted lol.
Feeding:
Goldfish now and then for kicks
Hikari food sticks
Some white fish (thats whats in the first pic on the bottom)
Frozen shrimp
Beefheart
Earthworms
Crickets
Anyway...Just wanted to share some pics with you.
