I picked up a male red devil cichlid the other day. He's about 10 inches long and is aggressive as hell. I had two Jack Dempseys in the tank as well and they have both been re-homed to make way for the red devil. He is so aggressive that he was beating the snot out of the two dempseys and he dominated the whole tank. I didn't really like the JD's anyhow, the red devil is much more to my liking and has great personality. He comes up to the glass to check me out anytime I'm near, and eagerly eats his pellets as I drop them in the tank. The LFS employee told me he came from some college kid who had to move and undid his tank. Now he has a good home and is enjoying clean water from my Ehiem canister.
