Got me my second rifle. A Remington 700 BDL in .270win.
Have it set up with
-Bushnell Sportsman 3-9x40
-Caldwell XLA Pivot Model Bipod

Planning on putting on a better scope when i can afford it. It is a used rifle that i bought off a local guy but i just couldn't resist a BDL with walnut stock for 390 with heavy steel weaver rings.

remmington 700 is a great rifle. I have one in 30-06 I use it for hunting and long range shooting does great at both.

Pretty rifle, should be perfect for those Georgia deer.

When you coming down to go fishing man?

Now that I got a boat, if you come down I will hook you up with a good trip.

Man i wish i had the time, went down to PCB on the Fourth and caught my self a tarpon though. But besides that haven't had much time this summer to fish due to work. Ill see if i can come down on a 3 day weekend from college or something someday.

Before you put a new scope on it, have a gunsmith free float the barrel and bed the action. If he is nice have him lap the lugs. after that go out and do some load work to find what it likes. If you do this and are a fairly good shooter you should be able to hold a 1/4 to 1/2" 3 shot group

Nice piece.
I have to renew my FOID card, then off to the range.
I am more of a handgun person (I am more accurate than with a rifle or shotgun)

It's been too long since I have shot something, lol

Yeah i would have preferred to have gotten it in 30-06 but i found the .270 sufficient it is pretty much the same casing as a 30-06 and itll take down anything around these parts. And for the fact that this was the best deal i had seen for a bdl with a walnut stock.

.270 ftw!!!!!

can't go wrong with that gun even though I'm a winchester fan. .270 is more than plenty for deer...not sure why you'd need a .308
