I have been watchin this fish get beat up by African cichlids and a large convict for 3 months. No one knew what she was or seemed to want her. So I took this sad looking fish home. Her fins were shreded she had a bit of HITH that is clearnig up well now. Her fins are no longer shreded and are growing back.

Right now she is 4" and with a EBjd 3" blue acara3", green severum 3.5" in a 55 gal. Just to grow up a bit. Then I will up grade to a 100gal 5' or a 125 gal 6'

I think it is safe to say she is a Geo. Bahia red? Could some one tell me a little more about this fish. Or if you have had one what was yours like how big did it get what were it's tank mates.

Here is my fish. I think it's a female but I'm not sure.

here is what I want to stock my 125 gal with this summer. What do you think?

1 Ebdj
1 blue acara*
1 green severum
1 red spot severum (or other cichlid ??)
1 Geophagus Bahia red
1 rubber nose pleco
8*Buenos Aires Tetra *
2 hoplo catfish
5 *Brochis multiradiatus

yeah it look like a Geophagus sp. "Bahia Red

I agree, nice save, did you get a good deal?

That stock sounds good, though I'd try and add more geos, they do better in groups.

thanks guys.

I read that these guys are not like other Geos in that they tend to be aggressive to there own kind.

I did not get a good deal she was $12. Not too bad but not great. I did see 2" Bahai reds selling for $18 on the cichlid station.
