I got 20 specimens of Wild cathced Paracheirodon innesi, AKA Neon tetra recently for my new research project.
This research is to see how their behaviors get different between Wild specimens and Farmed specimens and check where their habits are came from. (from their genetics or experiences)
For this experiment, i will breed these wild specimens for some F1 to raise some of them with their wild parents just like they do in the wild and raise other some only with themselves.
After raising F1, i will finally can compare wild, F1 grow with wilds, F1 grow without wilds and farmed specimens and see what's happen.
Till now on, i found wild neon tetras do always school with each others except when they are sleep, unlike farmed populations does.
I hope this research will help us to understand about fish behaviors and breeding of endangered fish for releasing that require keep their habits in aquariums for multiple generations.
