Fishing in Wisconsin
Here's my newest addition. I rescued him last week from the LFS, he looked underfed and beatup. He was living with some mean looking catfish, I'm not sure what the breed was. Anyway, got him home he ate like a pig. After acclimating I let him go in the tank and he sat at one end and the other two rockets sat at the other end just staring at each other... After about 5-10 minutes the big two swam over and just swam around him. Since then they've been schooled up and loving it.:) I'm glad he fits in so well...

sweet what size tank you got these guys in? what are you feeding them?

They're in a 46g bowfront. They love feeders, but I was surprised to find out that they also love frozen bloodworms. It's almost as entertaining to see them snatch up the worms as chasing down rosie's. So I try to avoid the feeders because of the risk of disease spreading...
The big two are about 5-6" and the little guy is around 3.5"

One of my artc's but he hides during the day. As long as he gets his share of beefheart he leaves them alone... Soon he'll be moving out tho, I'm getting too attached to these guys to let anything happen.

i have 3 of them before, they are also lableled by there scientific name Ctenolucius hujeta and also they are called freshwater barracuda..they are very fast and great predators//ENJOY!!!

Oh Yeah, I love them, I got the first one at about 3" in January and the second in February. I just can't get enough. I'm hoping to eventually get a big enough tank to attempt breeding, I've heard that it's very challenging tho.
