Hallo friends. My pair of sajica leads out new babies. I had they with convict and little JD and they ate all sajicas spawn everytime. I put sajicas to little aquarium (10 gal) and babies are here :-). What do you think, mey I keep them in this aquarium? I have next free aquarium cca 17 gal, it is possible? Or will be best to return sajicas to 78 gal tank with convict and JD?

Sajica get pretty large, the 10gal will be good for another year or so. You should be ok keeping them there for breeding purposes. If this is going to be your only spawn you can throw the parents back with the cons and jd while the fry grow in the 10 gal. Or grow them out in the 17gal.

I have a large pair myself and they are currenly in a 29gal and they have not spawned since i moved them from a 75 to 29. I think that means the tank is to small for them i will move them up to a 55 soon to see if that will help with the spawn. So the 10 will work for now but they will need to go back to the larger tank soon once they get bigger they will be able to fend off the jd and convict. When had my adult pair was in the 75 they would beat back rd growouts the same size as them and theywhere able to raise about a dozen fry to about a inch in those conditions.

Nice fish! keep the fry in the 10g and put back the sajicas to the big tank. where do you get the fish from? I have started a sajica tank but havent bought any sajs yet.

Thanks :-). It is problem bought sajicas in our place too. I bought it on one "hypermarket" Hornbach, it has very bad reputation in our country, fishes uses to be sick, but I had luck :-) I have them 1,5 year and they are OK :-), they has may be 1", when I bought them.
